Lake Superior (Michigan, Minnesota, Canada) Wood Map
The largest freshwater lake based on area, Lake Superior acquired its name from French explorers recognizing it as the “Upper Lake”. It is also well known for major shipwrecks around the Whitefish Point area, including the SS Edmund Fitzgerald.
